Assistant Mechanic

About the role
The Assistant Mechanic will work at our head office in Tigoni, supporting the maintenance team in keeping vehicles, trucks and other power‑driven equipment safe and operational. Under supervision, you will carry out both routine servicing and more complex repairs.
Key responsibilities
- Perform minor and major repairs on cars, trucks and related equipment.
- Conduct regular servicing and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Diagnose and fix automotive electrical system faults.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and workshop manuals.
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment.
Required profile
- Valid Kenyan driver’s licence.
- At least 2 years of experience as a vehicle mechanic.
- Diploma or certificate in Automotive Engineering, Motor Vehicle Mechanics or a related field.
- Good command of English to read and follow technical manuals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Required skills
- Automotive electrical diagnostics.
- Vehicle repair and maintenance.
- Truck maintenance.
- Forklift operation (advantage).
