Assistant Residential Manager – Otsego Region

About the role

The Assistant Residential Manager supports the Residential Manager in creating a safe, supportive, and serene living environment for adults with developmental disabilities in the Otsego Region. This role blends direct care, administrative oversight, and staff mentorship to ensure resident needs are prioritized.

Key responsibilities

• Hire, train, and supervise Director Support Professionals alongside the Residential Manager.
• Coordinate daily resident planning, weekly meetings, and trip logistics.
• Mentor new hires during their first six months.
• Ensure accurate shift documentation and facilitate information transfer between shifts.
• Oversee active programming, daily planners, goals, and service delivery.
• Conduct medication audits, MAR checks, prescription orders, and data entry.
• Provide direct care, including medication administration and assistance with medical appointments.
• Attend required trainings, staff development sessions, and meetings.
• Provide on‑call oversight during work hours and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (associate degree preferred; required for Golisano Program).
• Minimum two years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Completion of Springbrook New Manager Orientation and Leadership Training Program.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and meet physical lifting requirements.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate Springbrook vehicles.
