Assistant Store Manager

About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in ensuring smooth daily operations of a Top Star Express convenience store. This role focuses on delivering an excellent customer experience, maintaining store standards, and fostering a positive culture for both team members and shoppers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in training, coaching and developing employees using Top Star Express training methods.
• Uphold company policies and comply with local, state and federal regulations.
• Help achieve sales targets set by the Store, District or Operations Manager.
• Control losses, support profit‑increase initiatives, and maintain high store image standards.
• Ensure safety, security and environmental procedures are followed.
• Complete required reports and paperwork promptly.
• Order, receive and display merchandise according to plan‑ograms and company policies.
• Maintain proper product rotation, promotion implementation and suggestive selling.
• Collaborate with vendors in line with company procedures.
• Keep all store areas—including coffee, food service, restrooms and forecourt—clean, stocked and ready for business.
• Delegate tasks and oversee shift completion.
• Attend training sessions and assistant‑manager meetings as assigned.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable personal vehicle.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
