About the role

Waruiru Advocates is looking for an Associate Advocate to handle a wide range of corporate and litigation matters. The successful candidate will draft and negotiate commercial contracts, conduct due diligence, and represent clients in court proceedings.

Key responsibilities

Negotiate, draft and review commercial contracts and ensure proper execution.
Conduct due‑diligence on conveyancing transactions and prepare sale agreements and completion documents.
Draft legal opinions and maintain a legal opinion database.
Perform legal research on assigned matters and support partners.
Oversee filing and registration of intellectual property applications.
Assist with intellectual property due‑diligence related to contracts and transactions.
Form legal entities, prepare organizational documents and ensure statutory compliance.
Provide legal advice on commercial and corporate transactions, including security documents.
Interview clients, gather documentation, and prepare pleadings and motions.
Negotiate settlements, draft settlement agreements and attend hearings at all court levels.
