Audiology Technician

About the role

The Audiology Technician will work full‑time on‑site at Dexta Hearing Centre in Nairobi, supporting audiologists and other hearing‑care professionals. The role involves preparing clients for assessments, conducting routine hearing tests under supervision, and helping maintain a safe, patient‑focused clinical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare clients for hearing evaluations and explain procedures in clear, empathetic language.
• Conduct basic hearing tests under the supervision of qualified audiologists.
• Assist with setup, calibration, and routine maintenance of audiology equipment.
• Document patient histories, record test results, and organize clinical data accurately.
• Support speech and hearing rehabilitation activities as directed.
• Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment and manage appointment flow.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of audiology concepts and basic hearing test administration.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and accurate clinical documentation.
• Effective spoken communication and active listening skills.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and adherence to clinical protocols.
• Certificate or diploma in audiology, hearing technology, or a related healthcare field; prior clinic experience is advantageous.
• Basic computer proficiency for electronic record‑keeping and scheduling.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
