Backend Engineer – Remote Contract

About the role

We are seeking a Backend Engineer on a contract basis to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems for a global leader in IT services. The role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy robust backend services using modern frameworks.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability for global users.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code following best practices.
• Debug and resolve production issues with a focus on uptime.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.

Required profile

• Proficiency in backend languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience building RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases and query optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control with Git.
