Bakery Attendant – Full-time

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Bakery Attendant to join our supermarket bakery team in Westlands, Nairobi. You will support daily baking operations, maintain high hygiene standards, and help present fresh products to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and baking bread, pastries, cakes and other bakery items following standard recipes.
• Measure, mix and handle ingredients accurately and adhere to production schedules.
• Maintain cleanliness of the baking area, equipment and storage spaces in line with food safety regulations.
• Monitor product quality, freshness and remove any expired or damaged items.
• Receive, organize and track inventory of baking supplies.
• Operate ovens, mixers and proofers under supervision and report any equipment issues.
• Arrange baked goods attractively for display and support customer service when needed.

Required profile

• At least 6 months experience in a commercial bakery or supermarket bakery.
• Basic knowledge of baking techniques and food safety standards.
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions and production schedules accurately.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Baking equipment operation (ovens, mixers, proofers).
• Food safety compliance.
