Bancassurance Sales Representative – Mombasa

About the role

SBM Bank is seeking a motivated Bancassurance Sales Representative to drive insurance product sales across its Mombasa branches. You will act as the bridge between the bank and insurance partners, delivering tailored solutions to customers while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales of health and other insurance products within bank branches and segments.
• Provide comprehensive insurance consultations and solutions to customers.
• Monitor sales performance, analyse results and adjust strategies to meet targets.
• Collaborate with management to design and execute marketing campaigns.
• Ensure compliance with the Insurance Act, internal policies and service level agreements.
• Support regional teams to achieve timely insurance business through SBM Bancassurance Intermediary Limited.
• Collect premiums, manage refunds and coordinate credit arrangements.
• Track and resolve claims in line with SLA requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university.
• Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance.
• Minimum 1 year experience in bancassurance or insurance sales.
• Strong understanding of health insurance products, coverage options and exclusions.
• Ability to train and support bank staff and agents on insurance sales.
