Banking Applications Manager

About the role

BRAC Kenya Company Limited is seeking a Banking Applications Manager to lead the administration, governance and operational management of its core banking ecosystem. The role focuses on the Temenos T24 (Transact) platform and associated banking applications, ensuring they support the organisation’s products, processes, reporting and regulatory obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the administration, support, maintenance and optimisation of the Temenos T24 core banking platform.
• Translate business requirements from Finance, Credit, Digital and Business Development teams into effective system solutions.
• Oversee system governance, upgrades, vendor relationships and operational support for all banking applications.
• Ensure compliance with IT standards, policies and regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement, user capability development and technical mentorship for the Banking Applications team.
• Act as deputy for the IT Manager on banking systems matters, providing continuity of oversight when required.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in managing core banking platforms, preferably Temenos T24.
• Strong understanding of banking operations, financial management and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience working collaboratively with cross‑functional teams such as Finance, Credit Operations and Digital Operations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and develop technical teams.
• Strategic mindset with a focus on governance, risk and continuous improvement.
