Barista – Eldoret Java Branch

About the role

Join Java House Africa Ltd as a Barista at the bustling Eldoret Java Branch. You will be the face of the café, delivering high‑quality coffee and beverage experiences to our customers in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks, including coffee, tea, artisan and specialty beverages.
• Interact with customers at various touch points, ensuring excellent service.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for drink preparation and hygiene.
• Assist the lead Barista with stock monitoring, daily stock‑take, and replenishment.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and fully functional counter and pastry case.
• Handle take‑away and eat‑in orders promptly and accurately.
• Manage cash float, change, and end‑of‑shift financial reconciliation.
• Control waste and ensure proper machine maintenance.

Required profile

• Ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
• Highly responsible, reliable and team‑oriented.
• Willingness to undergo in‑house barista training.
• Excellent customer care skills.
