Barista – Kericho Java Branch

About the role

Java House Africa Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic Barista to join the Kericho Java Branch in Eldoret. You will be the face of the café, preparing a range of hot and cold beverages while delivering excellent customer service in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, artisan and specialty drinks.
• Interact with customers at all touch points, ensuring a positive experience.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures for beverage production.
• Assist the lead Barista with stock monitoring and daily stock‑take.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and fully functional counter and pastry case.
• Handle take‑away and eat‑in orders promptly according to the order docket.
• Control waste, manage cash float, and ensure sufficient change is available.
• Perform end‑of‑shift closure tasks, including variance checks and machine care.
• Support other team members to guarantee smooth café operations.

• Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
• Highly responsible, reliable, and able to work well in a team.
• Willingness to undergo in‑house barista and service training.
• Excellent customer‑care techniques.
