About the role
A reputable hotel in Nairobi is looking for a professional and experienced barman to join its hospitality team. The position is advertised by a recruiter on behalf of the hotel.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests.
- Mix and present cocktails, mocktails and other drinks according to standard recipes.
- Provide excellent customer service and interact professionally with guests.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the bar area at all times.
- Monitor bar stock levels and report shortages.
- Handle cash and bar orders properly.
- Follow all health, safety and hygiene standards in the bar area.
Required profile
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience as a barman in a hotel, bar or restaurant.
- Good knowledge of drink preparation and bar operations.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Professional appearance with a friendly and positive attitude.
