Behavior Analyst – Community Homes

About the role

Springbrook is seeking a qualified Behavior Analyst to lead the development and implementation of behavior support plans for individuals with challenging behaviors in community homes and day programs. This hybrid role requires on‑site presence three days a week and occasional travel.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct functional behavior assessments (direct and indirect) and regular behavior observations.
• Develop, implement, and adjust behavior support plans using ethical behavior‑analysis practices.
• Create and maintain data‑collection systems, graph and analyze behavioral data.
• Collaborate with treatment teams to set behavioral goals for IEPs, residential, and day‑habitat plans.
• Provide direct care and model interventions for staff, respond to crisis calls, and assist with behavioral emergencies.
• Supervise BCBAs in training and serve as a resource on psychology‑related issues.
• Participate in team meetings, psychiatric appointments, and use the Human Rights Committee for restrictive interventions when needed.
• Communicate behavioral status to parents/guardians and obtain required approvals.

Required profile

• BCBA or NY LBA certification with a Master’s degree.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Maintain active certification/licensure.
• Ability to lift 50 lb independently and assist with heavier loads.
• Valid driver’s license and meet Springbrook vehicle requirements.
