About the role
The Billing Officer will support the financial operations of Diani Beach Hospital by managing patient billing, insurance claims and account reconciliation. This position requires strong analytical abilities and a customer‑service mindset to ensure accurate and timely processing of billing activities.
Key responsibilities
- Process patient invoices and ensure accurate billing entries.
- Handle medical insurance claims and follow up on reimbursements.
- Reconcile billing records with payments and resolve discrepancies.
- Provide customer service to patients and insurers regarding billing queries.
- Maintain and update hospital billing system data.
Required profile
- Diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Health Records or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in healthcare or hospital billing.
- Experience with medical insurance and claims processing is an advantage.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using hospital billing systems.
