Biology and Chemistry Teacher – Key Stage 3 to A Level

About the role

Kitengela International Schools is seeking a dedicated Biology and Chemistry teacher to deliver high‑quality instruction from Key Stage 3 through A‑Level. The successful candidate will join a vibrant international community, fostering scientific curiosity and academic excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Biology and Chemistry lessons aligned with the BIC international curriculum.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate academic records.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to develop interdisciplinary projects and support school initiatives.
• Uphold safeguarding policies and ensure a safe learning environment for all students.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development and parent‑teacher conferences.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of relevant subject teaching experience, preferably in an international school setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education with a specialization in Biology, Chemistry or a related science.
• Valid Teacher Service Commission (TSC) certification.
• Demonstrated knowledge of child safeguarding and protection procedures.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of the Kenyan TSC standards and BIC curriculum requirements.
• Ability to design and implement effective laboratory experiments and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, parents and colleagues.
