BOP Technician – Low Voltage Grid Systems

About the role
A client of Stratostaff East Africa, described as a digital industrial company, is looking for an experienced technician in Kenya. The role centres on low voltage grid operation, especially on the 33KV and 690V sides, and covers transformers, switchgear, breakers, isolators and protection devices.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and operate low voltage grid systems, focusing on the 33KV side and equipment such as transformers, switchgear, breakers and isolators.
- Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to CT, VT and IED relays to ensure proper grid operation.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on grid equipment.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to coordinate system upgrades, repairs and new installations.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Knowledge and familiarity with a power plant.
- At least two years' experience in a similar role at a power plant.
