Branch Relationship Manager – Kapsowar

About the role

VisionFund Kenya is a dynamic financial services company and a key investment of World Vision Kenya. The Branch manager will lead the Kapsowar branch, mentor staff and drive the achievement of VisionFund’s mission, vision and strategic objectives while ensuring high standards of customer service and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Implement policies, procedures and internal controls; oversee client assessments, credit appraisals and loan approvals.
• Conduct credit committee meetings, monitor delinquency trends and enforce early recovery strategies.
• Supervise branch staffing, conduct performance appraisals, coaching and staff development plans.
• Achieve disbursement, client acquisition, collection and profitability targets while keeping Portfolio at Risk below 5%.
• Utilize core banking system, digital field applications and MIS platforms; train staff and clients on digital channels.
• Develop business plans, maintain relationships with clients, local leaders and strategic partners, and represent the branch in community events.
• Lead sales and marketing initiatives, monitor market trends and champion branch expansion in new markets.
• Uphold client protection principles, organize financial literacy trainings and ensure responsible lending practices.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in micro‑finance or retail banking operations.
• Strong leadership, coaching and team‑building experience.
• Excellent communication, organizational and reporting skills.
• Sound knowledge of credit operations, compliance and financial services.
• Experience in fraud prevention, audit compliance and internal controls.
• Ability to manage change, drive innovation and navigate challenges with resilience.
• Must be a committed Christian and participate in daily devotions.
