Business Coach – CASHA Program (West Pokot)

About the role

The CASHA Business Coach will support women entrepreneurs in West Pokot by delivering business development services, mentorship, and market‑entry guidance. Working closely with BOMA’s REAP program, the coach will help micro‑enterprises in livestock and agriculture build sustainable income streams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one coaching and mentorship to young men and women operating SMEs in the livestock and agri‑value chain.
• Deliver business development services, including market analysis, capacity planning, and strategy formulation.
• Collect, enter, and analyse field data to generate insights for decision‑making.
• Facilitate the formation and management of savings associations and support cash‑flow planning.
• Travel within the county on a motorcycle to reach remote clients and conduct field visits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Agriculture or Livestock.
• 3‑5 years experience working with SMEs, especially in livestock and agriculture value chains.
• Proven track record delivering business development services and fostering social inclusion in arid regions.
• Strong mentorship and coaching abilities, with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Valid A1/A2 motorcycle licence and residency in the county where CASHA is implemented.
