About the role
The Business Coach will deliver entrepreneurship training to participants of the We Can Work (WCW) programme in Nyamira County, monitor their progress and support micro‑entrepreneurs to grow their businesses.
Key responsibilities
- Mobilise, select and onboard WCW participants according to programme criteria.
- Conduct high‑quality entrepreneurship training using the WCW curriculum and develop follow‑up plans for each trainee.
- Track business sales, growth and challenges, providing support through regular physical follow‑up sessions.
- Facilitate business‑plan development, milestone‑based funding kits and market‑linkage opportunities.
- Collect participant feedback, produce monthly reports and contribute to project learning and communication materials.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, agribusiness or a related field.
- 2‑5 years of experience in business development and as a trainer.
- Experience working with international NGOs and, preferably, with persons with disabilities.
- Practical knowledge of agrifood and market systems in the county is an advantage.
Required skills
- Trainer‑of‑trainer capabilities.
- Ability to adapt training to diverse learning needs.
- Report writing and basic technology use.
