Business Development Manager

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Business Development Manager to lead the sales and distribution of our snack products across Kenya. You will work closely with the Managing Director to grow market share in bars, convenience stores, supermarkets and other retail channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a sales and distribution strategy to increase product visibility and market share.
• Identify, approach and onboard new clients such as supermarkets, bars and convenience stores.
• Manage and expand relationships with existing distributors and retailers.
• Conduct market research to spot new opportunities and monitor competitor activity.
• Drive in‑store activation, merchandising and promotional initiatives.
• Track sales performance, prepare regular reports and forecasts for management.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Represent the company at client meetings and trade events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.
• 3–5 years of sales or business development experience in the FMCG sector, preferably food & beverage or snacks.
• Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently for field work.
• Energetic, self‑driven and results‑oriented with a positive attitude.
