Business Development Manager – Recycled Plastics

About the role

The Business Development Manager will procure and sell recycled plastics, focusing on PET (rPET), working closely with local and global teams. You will build relationships with suppliers and buyers, manage negotiations, and maintain a full pipeline of opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Map the market and develop new suppliers and buyers across manufacturing, recycling and waste sectors.
• Assess client suitability, negotiate contracts for regular volumes of waste and recycled PET.
• Execute sales of scrap and recycled PET to licensed manufacturers and recyclers worldwide.
• Conduct market research, cold‑calling, networking and attend trade fairs to generate leads.
• Maintain detailed logs and customer records in CRM, provide market reports and feedback to management.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of business development experience in raw materials supply.
• Fluent English; multilingual abilities are a plus.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
• Highly organized, able to manage competing priorities and follow internal procedures.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Word and other MS Office products.
• Experience using CRM systems for activity tracking and pipeline management.
