Business Development Officer – Associate II (Nyeri)

About the role

The role entails driving revenue growth and expanding the new/renewal General Insurance business portfolio. The goal is to meet Retail business annual budgets by strategically developing assigned markets and intermediary channels.

Key responsibilities

• Cultivate robust strategic partnerships and relationships with assigned intermediaries.
• Navigate the sales cycle efficiently and maintain a value‑driven service approach.
• Implement optimal Client Relationship Management practices to meet business objectives.
• Track and report performance against agreed sales and retention targets.
• Oversee daily sales activities of assigned intermediaries to spearhead revenue growth.
• Keep clients informed about new and existing products.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless and timely service delivery.
• Develop and promptly deliver quotations and tender documents.
• Contribute to departmental planning and budgeting processes.
• Ensure compliance with credit control policies through cash and carry and debt collection initiatives.
• Foster intermediary engagement through visits, performance reviews, support, training, and motivation.
• Organise and execute market activations and outreach events in strategic locations.
• Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities or threats.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of sales or business development experience.
