Business Development Officer

About the role

Eni is looking for a Business Development Officer to drive growth in Nairobi by identifying new opportunities, managing client relationships and supporting commercial objectives. The role requires proactive market research, partnership building and delivering tailored, high‑value solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and nurture relationships with Eni's clients, assessing and responding to evolving requirements.
• Monitor market and industry trends, identify and evaluate new business opportunities, and analyse competitors.
• Arrange and facilitate meetings with key decision‑makers to establish and strengthen strategic partnerships.
• Provide leadership in establishing a B2B function, design and execute strategies to support commercial growth, and oversee execution of strategic and annual business plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing or related field; postgraduate qualification is a plus.
• Relevant experience in business development, sales or a commercial role with a proven track record of client relationship management and business growth.
• Experience in the energy, oil & gas or related sector is highly desirable.
