Cambridge Year 7-9 Apprentice Computing Teacher

About the role

Nova Pioneer is seeking a dynamic Cambridge Year 7‑9 Apprentice Computing Teacher to deliver Computing, Digital Literacy and Mathematics to students at its Athi River International campus. The role is designed for teachers with at least two years of experience who can start immediately and contribute to a 21st‑century learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach enquiry‑based Computing, Digital Literacy and Mathematics to Year 7‑9 students.
• Collaborate daily with the resident teacher to design and deliver engaging lessons.
• Co‑create a developmentally appropriate classroom environment that promotes focused learning.
• Participate in regular professional‑development sessions, team meetings, instructional coaching and school‑wide reflections.
• Assess student progress continuously and adjust instructional strategies based on data.
• Inspire enthusiasm for learning and help students set and achieve rigorous academic goals.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience, preferably in Computing or related subjects.
• Ability to start immediately upon offer acceptance.
• Commitment to Nova Pioneer’s values and enquiry‑based learning philosophy.
• Willingness to engage with staff, students and parents between 7 am and 5 pm.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Computing concepts and Digital Literacy.
• Effective classroom management and lesson planning abilities.
• Proficiency in assessing student learning and using data to inform instruction.
