Channel Systems Engineer – Kenya

About the role

We are seeking a Channel Systems Engineer to partner with sales representatives across Kenya, supporting pre‑sales, sales calls and post‑sales activities for Fortinet solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with focus partners to develop business plans aligned with strategic objectives.
• Provide technical pre‑sales support, including product presentations, demonstrations and solution architecture design.
• Deliver technical training sessions for partners on Fortinet products and integration processes.
• Support channel partners with technical issues during and after implementation, acting as liaison with technical support teams.
• Lead all technical aspects of the sales cycle, from RFIs to RFPs/RFQs, including project management and POCs.
• Maintain deep knowledge of Fortinet portfolio, competitive landscape and emerging threats.
• Position Fortinet solutions to customers through presentations, whitepapers and technical plans.
• Stay updated on product roadmaps, emerging technologies and industry trends to assist partners.
• Create and deploy channel enablement materials such as guides, manuals and webinars.
• Manage multiple deals simultaneously while ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Record accurate activity and technical information in Salesforce CRM.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in pre‑sales engineering or a similar technical role.
• Proven experience working with channel partners, resellers or distributors.
• Strong understanding of channel sales models.
• Ability to manage technical projects and lead POCs.
• Excellent communication skills for remote and in‑person presentations.
