Chief of Party for USDA Food for Peace Programs

About the role

Prosper Global is seeking an experienced Chief of Party to lead upcoming USDA Food for Peace development programs. The role will provide strategic vision, technical oversight, and operational management for multi‑year food security initiatives implemented in partnership with governments, NGOs, and the private sector.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute program strategy to improve food security, nutrition, resilience and livelihoods.
• Oversee all technical components, including agricultural productivity, market systems, nutrition interventions, livelihood strengthening, and commodity‑supported programming.
• Manage program budgets, financial reporting, procurement, logistics and compliance with USDA regulations.
• Represent Prosper Global to USDA, host‑country authorities, consortium partners and donors, building strong collaborative relationships.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team, ensuring high performance, learning, adaptive management and safeguarding compliance.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in agriculture, food security, nutrition, international development, economics, rural development or a related field.
• Extensive experience leading multi‑year, multi‑partner development programs, preferably under USDA Food for Peace or similar donor frameworks.
• Proven ability to manage large budgets, ensure compliance, and deliver results in complex environments.
• Strong track record of partnership development with government, civil society and private‑sector stakeholders.
