Chief Security Officer

About the role

The Chief Security Officer will lead all security operations for Sarova Panafric Hotel, ensuring the safety of guests, staff, and assets while maintaining a welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee hotel security operations and conduct regular risk assessments.
• Manage CCTV, access‑control, key‑management and alarm systems.
• Lead response to incidents, conduct investigations, preserve evidence and report to management and authorities.
• Supervise, coach and mentor the security team, ensuring performance and compliance.
• Maintain relationships with police, emergency services and external security providers.
• Ensure compliance with Kenyan laws, health‑and‑safety regulations and hotel brand standards.
• Deliver security‑awareness training and lead emergency preparedness programs.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Security Management, Criminology, Risk Management or related field.
• Professional security or risk‑management certification.
• At least five years of security experience, including 2‑3 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in a four‑ to five‑star hotel environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of criminal and civil law and data‑protection requirements.
