CNC Machine Operator

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time CNC Machine Operator based in Athi River. The role covers operating CNC machines, reading technical drawings, checking quality and keeping the machine and work area safe.

Key responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines according to production specifications, set them up and adjust them for production runs, and monitor performance.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications, and follow CNC programs and work instructions.
• Inspect finished components, use measuring tools to check dimensions and tolerances, and report defects.
• Carry out routine machine checks and basic maintenance, keep the work area clean and follow safety procedures.
• Meet production targets, report machine faults and work with supervisors and other production staff.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience operating CNC machines in a production environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Required skills

• CNC machine operation and setup skills.
• Knowledge of CNC programs and machine setup procedures.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments is an added advantage.
