Communications Officer – Visuals & Graphics (Consultancy)

About the role

Enzi Ijayo Africa Initiative is seeking a creative consultant to develop graphics and infographics that translate its research, policy analysis, and programme work into clear, engaging visuals for publications, presentations, the website, and social media. The position is a three‑month consultancy with the possibility of extension and is remote across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Design infographics, charts, diagrams, maps, social media graphics, presentation slides and other visual materials.
• Translate research findings, policy messages and data into audience‑appropriate visuals for policymakers, partners, funders and the public.
• Ensure accuracy of figures, labels, units, dates and source credits while maintaining high standards of proofreading, layout and visual consistency.
• Apply Enzi Ijayo’s visual identity, develop reusable templates, and update website graphics, checking for broken links and formatting issues.

Required profile

• Strong visual storytelling ability with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud tools (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
• Good understanding of typography, layout, colour, accessibility and both digital and print design.
• Collaborative mindset, ability to respond to feedback and meet deadlines; fluency in English.
