About the role
The Shared Community Support Professional provides assistance to individuals receiving services across educational, residential, and community settings. You will help with daily living activities, promote independence, and ensure a safe environment while following Springbrook policies and state regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Act as a role model and advocate for the people you support.
- Assist with personal care tasks such as showering and restroom use, adapting support to each individual’s needs.
- Encourage participation in community, recreational, and spiritual activities.
- Follow individualized plans, collect required data, and complete billing documentation.
- Maintain clean and safe environments, including vehicles and grounds.
- Attend team meetings and one‑on‑one sessions with supervisors.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED (associate degree preferred).
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work mandatory overtime and be reassigned as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet vehicle‑driving requirements.
- Physical ability to lift 50 lb independently and assist with heavier loads.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
