Consultancy for Facilitation Guide and Training of Beach Management Units

About the role

The European Committee for Agricultural Training (CEFA) seeks a consultant to develop a facilitation guide and deliver a series of trainings for Beach Management Unit (BMU) members in Kwale County, Kenya. The consultancy will run from November 2026 to February 2027, covering guide preparation, training delivery, and final reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive facilitation guide covering offshore fishing techniques, navigation, maritime safety, sustainable marine resource management, and fisheries data collection.
• Design and deliver five training modules (total 18 sessions) to 501 participants from three BMUs, including refresher and cascading sessions.
• Prepare and submit a final consultancy report summarising outcomes, lessons learned, and recommendations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in delivering marine‑related trainings and developing practical guides for coastal communities.
• Strong knowledge of offshore fishing practices, navigation equipment, weather interpretation, and maritime safety procedures.
• Ability to work on‑site in Kenya, coordinate with local stakeholders, and adapt training schedules to participant availability.
