Consultant Radiologist – Remote, Part‑time

About the role

Africa Telerad is looking for experienced radiologists to join its growing network of teleradiology consultants. This fully remote, part‑time position allows you to interpret medical images for hospitals and clinics across Kenya and the wider African region while working from any location with a reliable internet connection.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret X‑ray, ultrasound, CT and MRI studies submitted through the AfyaRad platform.
• Produce accurate, comprehensive radiology reports within the agreed turnaround time targets.
• Maintain compliance with medical, ethical and professional standards.
• Participate in peer‑review sessions and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Provide on‑call or shift‑based coverage to support 24/7 service delivery.
• Ensure strict confidentiality and security of patient data at all times.

Required profile

• MBChB/MD with a specialization in Radiology (MMed Radiology or equivalent).
• Current, valid medical licence to practice radiology.
• Minimum of four years post‑qualification experience in a hospital or private practice.
• Strong written communication skills in English.
• Reliable internet connectivity and ability to work remotely.
• Sub‑specialty expertise (e.g., neuroradiology, musculoskeletal, chest, paediatric imaging) is a plus.

Required skills

• Digital PACS operation.
• Use of teleradiology platforms (AfyaRad or similar).
• Interpretation of X‑ray, ultrasound, CT and MRI images.
