Content Specialist – FarmerChat (Remote, Kenya/Nigeria)

About the role

Digital Green is seeking a Content Specialist to lead acquisition, activation, and retention campaigns for FarmerChat, its AI‑powered conversational platform for smallholder farmers. The role is remote, based in Kenya or Nigeria, and will work closely with performance‑marketing, product, and regional teams across Kenya, Ethiopia, and Nigeria.

Key responsibilities

• Own the content, marketing and lifecycle‑engagement strategy for FarmerChat.
• Co‑create localized ad copy, creatives, and campaign messaging that reflect local crops, languages, weather patterns and market conditions.
• Produce and schedule content for push notifications, in‑app messages, WhatsApp/SMS, and social platforms.
• Design and run data‑backed experiments to improve activation, retention and repeat usage.
• Collaborate with country teams on campaign calendars, localization priorities and performance reviews.
• Establish measurement, reporting and learning systems to track growth metrics.

Required profile

• Experience in content creation, digital marketing or growth‑focused roles, preferably in agriculture or low‑connectivity contexts.
• Strong understanding of regional agricultural cycles, farmer needs and cultural nuances.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with cross‑functional, multi‑country teams.
