Coordinator of Volunteers

About the role

The Coordinator of Volunteers is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Nairobi, responsible for recruiting, onboarding and coordinating volunteers to support company and community initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard and schedule volunteers, maintaining accurate records.
• Design and deliver volunteer training programs and provide ongoing guidance.
• Facilitate communication between volunteers, staff and external partners.
• Plan and execute community outreach activities and monitor volunteer engagement.
• Prepare regular reports on volunteer activities and impact.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in volunteer management and coordination.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for diverse groups.
• Background in designing and delivering volunteer training sessions.
• Experience in community outreach and partnership building.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to work on‑site in Nairobi and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Diploma or degree in social sciences, community development, HR or related field is an advantage.
• Prior experience in non‑profit, community service or CSR initiatives is beneficial.
