Corporate Compliance & Legal Operations Specialist

About the role

This position supports the Vice President of Compliance & Safety at a multi‑state roofing and exteriors company. You will act as the central hub for legal and compliance matters, assembling facts, organizing records, and delivering concise summaries so the VP can make rapid, informed decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and organize contracts, communications, photos, recordings, policies, timelines, and other evidence for escalated customer disputes, demand letters, and regulator inquiries.
• Prepare matter summaries, supporting documentation, and deadline trackers for the VP and authorized outside counsel.
• Maintain tracking systems for legal matters, disputes, claims, investigations, and regulatory issues.
• Assist with contract administration, including intake, template management, amendments, signature routing, renewals, and record keeping.
• Conduct compliance and regulatory research and draft written summaries for internal review.
• Help develop and maintain company policies, procedures, compliance programs, and internal controls.

Required profile

• High level of trustworthiness and ability to handle confidential, legally sensitive information.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written communication and ability to produce clear, concise summaries.
• Experience working across multiple business functions (Operations, Sales, Finance, HR, Safety, Licensing, Permitting).
