Court Process Server III

About the role

The Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA), which provides civilian oversight of the police, is recruiting a Court Process Server III (Grade IPOA 10, position 1) within its Legal Services Directorate. The post is based at the headquarters in Westlands, Nairobi, reporting to the Senior Assistant Director, Legal Services. The consolidated salary is KES 64,500 to 97,500.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a register of service of court processes
• Process simple correspondence under the legal registry
• Initiate the maintenance and update of the directorate's diary of court matters
• Perform administrative and clerical duties
• Initiate the preparation of reports and updates on ongoing court matters concerning the Authority
• Participate in legal research to enhance legal services

Required profile

• Diploma in legal studies
• Registered as a court process server
• Valid court process server license

Required skills

• Proficiency in computer applications
