Credit Portfolio Manager

About the role

The Credit Portfolio Manager will lead the management of assigned retail and business banking credit portfolios, ensuring high credit quality throughout the credit life‑cycle. This senior role also involves training and supervising team members and collaborating closely with sales, product, credit operations and IT stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the end‑to‑end credit life‑cycle including product planning, credit initiation, account maintenance, fraud management, analytics, modeling, collections and recoveries.
• Develop and implement credit risk strategies, prospect targeting, exposure management and remedial actions for under‑performing accounts.
• Contribute to risk appetite setting, product reviews and new product development for retail and business banking.
• Maintain credit quality through sampling, scorecard reviews, and portfolio quality reviews.
• Lead the design and adoption of new technologies and methodologies to improve portfolio efficiency and quality.

Required profile

• Business degree in mathematical finance, actuarial science, economics, statistics or related field.
• Comprehensive technical credit skills with strong commercial and industry awareness.
• Working knowledge of risk management policies, procedures, pricing and group credit strategies.
• Experience in leading teams, performance development and stakeholder partnership.
