Crop Sourcing Specialist – Fixed-Term

About the role

The Crop Sourcing Specialist will support One Acre Fund’s Tupande program in Kenya by coordinating daily sourcing activities across multiple value chains. Working closely with field and office teams, the specialist ensures that aggregation timelines, logistics and performance metrics are tracked and reported accurately.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update daily and weekly sourcing trackers and visual dashboards.
• Monitor performance against seasonal targets, flagging bottlenecks early.
• Plan and roll out aggregation timelines, coordinating logistics with field staff.
• Prepare reports, summaries and visual dashboards for leadership and field teams.
• Provide tools, forms and logs to sourcing teams and act as the bridge between strategy and field execution.
• Design and pilot loyalty or incentive schemes to improve farmer retention and supply volumes.
• Ensure compliance with quality thresholds and identify gaps in farmer engagement.
• Develop and maintain aggregation toolkits, briefing materials and quality routines.
• Manage coordinators, supervisors and the broader crop sourcing team.

Required profile

• Strong critical‑thinking ability and capacity to analyse complex data.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate clearly with both field and office teams.
• Experience in agricultural sourcing, procurement or supply‑chain coordination is preferred.
