Data Analyst Intern

About the role

The Data Analyst Intern will join James behr Softlabs on‑site in Kenya, supporting the team with data collection, cleaning and basic analysis across internal and client projects.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, clean and organize data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Perform basic data analysis and create reports and dashboards.
• Assist with data modeling to support business and technology decisions.
• Collaborate with senior analysts and cross‑functional teams to interpret findings, prepare presentations and document analytical processes.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with foundational data analytics knowledge.
• Understanding of statistics and quantitative analysis methods.
• Experience with data modeling and handling structured data.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, IT or related field.
• Attention to detail, curiosity about data, willingness to learn and ability to work collaboratively on‑site.
