Data Platform Engineering Manager

About the role

As an Associate Data Platform Engineering Manager reporting to the Head of Data Engineering, you will lead a small team of platform engineers while staying hands‑on with technical work. The role blends people leadership, agile delivery and the design of reliable data infrastructure on Google Cloud.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of 2‑3 platform engineers, drive agile delivery and manage OKRs.
• Design, build and maintain Terraform/Terragrunt modules for GCP infrastructure.
• Implement data security controls using Dataplex and DLP.
• Create self‑service developer tools and standards for downstream data teams.
• Collaborate with data engineering, analytics and product stakeholders to ensure platform reliability and governance.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in data platform, infrastructure or DevOps engineering.
• Proven experience leading, mentoring or managing technical teams.
• Strong communication skills in English.
