Data Quality Improvement & Impact Evidence Support

About the role

The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) seeks a consultant to support data quality improvement, results verification, data mining, and generation of outcome and impact evidence for the Twende Project in Kenya. The assignment will be carried out under a fixed‑term consultancy contract and will contribute to the project's monitoring and evaluation framework.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive assessment of existing data sets and identify quality gaps.
• Develop and implement data cleaning and validation protocols aligned with IUCN standards.
• Verify project results against predefined indicators and document findings.
• Perform data mining activities to extract actionable insights for project decision‑making.
• Prepare evidence‑based reports on outcomes and impacts for stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with the Twende project team to ensure data processes are integrated into ongoing monitoring activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in monitoring and evaluation for environmental or conservation projects.
• Strong background in data management, analysis, and evidence generation.
• Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and deliver high‑quality outputs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Familiarity with IUCN procurement and reporting guidelines.
