About the role
The University seeks a Digital Content Producer to plan, produce and manage video content that supports communication, marketing, branding, academic and digital media initiatives. The role will work on‑site in Nakuru, creating multimedia assets for events, campaigns and online platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, produce and manage video content for university communication, marketing, branding, academic and corporate needs.
- Provide professional videography services for events, conferences, ceremonies and other institutional engagements.
- Develop video concepts, storyboards, scripts, shot lists and production schedules.
- Perform video editing and post‑production, including colour correction, sound editing, graphics, animation, subtitles and transitions.
- Create digital video for the university website, social media, digital campaigns, documentaries, advertisements and promotional materials.
- Collaborate with the university webmaster to optimise and publish multimedia content on digital platforms.
- Support live and digital coverage of events, including recording, streaming and timely content preparation.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies and best practices in digital content production.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Film, Journalism, Mass Communication, Multimedia, Digital Media, Communication or a related field.
- At least three years of professional experience in videography, film production, digital media or content creation.
- Portfolio or showreel demonstrating short‑form and long‑form video production.
- Born‑again Christian and active member of a local church.
- Experience in a university, media organisation, corporate communications or advertising agency is an advantage.
Required skills
- Video editing and post‑production (colour correction, sound editing, graphics, animation, subtitles).
- Professional videography and cinematography, including camera operation, composition and lighting.
- Graphic design and creation of digital artwork for websites and social media.
- Storyboard and script development.
