Direct Support Professional – Community & Residential Support

About the role

Join Springbrook as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a variety of settings, from homes to community outings. You will help clients live independently while ensuring their safety and well‑being.

Key responsibilities

• Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including personal care and meal preparation.
• Support clients in community activities such as shopping, sports, and recreational outings.
• Promote choice, independence, and protective oversight in residential and educational environments.
• Maintain compliance with Springbrook policies and state regulations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, overnights, and mandatory overtime.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet vehicle‑driving requirements.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lb independently and assist with heavier loads.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Basic computer literacy and aptitude to learn new software.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
