Direct Support Professional – Otsego Region

About the role

Springbrook is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to assist adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Otsego Region. You will work in home, community, and residential settings, helping clients lead independent and fulfilling lives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support for activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Assist clients with community outings, shopping, recreation, and skill‑building activities.
• Promote choice, independence, and safety while following Springbrook policies and state regulations.
• Document services, communicate with team members, and use computer software for reporting.
• Drive Springbrook vehicles when required and perform physical interventions, including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and mandatory overtime.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet vehicle‑driving requirements.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs independently and assist with heavier loads.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
