Director, Impact Intelligence

About the role

The Director, Impact Intelligence will lead Save the Children International’s global Impact Intelligence team, ensuring that rigorous data, ethical evidence generation, and cost‑informed programming drive scalable impact for children worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across four units: Insights and Learning, Research and Evaluation, Ethics and Evidence Generation, and Economic Evaluation.
• Develop and govern a movement‑wide evidence and learning strategy aligned with the organisation’s Global Strategy and Theory of Change.
• Establish clear governance, roles, and expectations for evidence use, learning and accountability.
• Champion a culture where impact intelligence is expected, resourced and rewarded, influencing leadership pathways and incentives.
• Oversee design and implementation of connected impact intelligence systems that reduce duplication and improve data quality.
• Manage a global team of 24 direct and indirect reports, fostering collaboration and high performance.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in data‑driven decision making, impact evaluation, or related fields within large, complex organisations.
• Proven track record of leading multi‑disciplinary teams and driving organisational change.
• Strong understanding of ethical standards and cost‑effectiveness analysis in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Ability to work in a hybrid/remote environment and travel internationally up to 20%.

Required skills

• Strategic leadership and governance of evidence‑based programmes.
• Expertise in impact evaluation, research methodology, and economic evaluation.
• Knowledge of ethical evidence generation and MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning) frameworks.
