Director, Impact Intelligence

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a Director of Impact Intelligence to lead its global Impact Intelligence team. This senior role will shape the organisation’s evidence‑based learning agenda, ensuring that data, research, and ethical evaluation drive scalable impact for children worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and govern a movement‑wide evidence and learning strategy that integrates Insights & Learning, MEAL, Research & Evaluation, Ethics & Evidence Generation, and Economic Evaluation.
• Establish clear governance, roles, and expectations for evidence use across the organisation.
• Champion a culture where impact intelligence is expected, resourced, and rewarded, aligning incentives and HR pathways to evidence‑driven work.
• Oversee the design and implementation of connected impact‑intelligence systems that reduce duplication and improve data quality.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership for four core units and manage a team of 24 direct and indirect reports.
• Represent the Impact Intelligence function in senior leadership forums and external inter‑agency collaborations.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in data, research, evaluation, or evidence generation within a global nonprofit or humanitarian context.
• Strong track record of managing multi‑disciplinary teams and complex, cross‑functional initiatives.
• Deep understanding of ethical standards, cost‑informed programming, and learning ecosystems.
• Ability to travel internationally up to 20% and work flexibly across global offices.
