Director of Sales

About the role

The Director of Sales drives sales performance and growth across commercial vehicles, passenger cars, tractors and power products. Reporting to the Executive Chairman and Group CEO, the role leads a high-performing sales team, oversees sales operations and develops strategies to meet revenue and profitability targets. The position is full time.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed business targets.
• Lead and guide the sales team, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.
• Drive customer acquisition and retention through relationship management and value-driven sales.
• Oversee sales operations, including lead generation, CRM use and sales performance monitoring.
• Work with marketing teams on targeted campaigns and promotions.
• Analyse the market to identify trends, opportunities and competitive positioning.
• Plan sales orders and coordinate with logistics teams to keep products available.
• Manage relationships with customers, partners and industry associations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or a related field.
• At least 7 years of proven sales leadership experience, preferably in the automotive or related industry.
• Strong background in B2B and B2C sales strategies.
• Excellent knowledge of the Kenyan market and industry trends.
• Experience managing sales teams, departmental budgets and business development initiatives.
