DPW Coordinator I (Tier 2)

About the role

The DPW Coordinator I (Tier 2) supports the Department of Public Works by coordinating activities across multiple internal teams to ensure timely delivery of services. Reporting to public works management, the role bridges project execution, compliance, and client communication.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule activities of departments within the public works family.
• Report operational status to public works and site management.
• Provide technical assistance and support to ongoing projects.
• Interpret codes, standards, and specifications to ensure compliance.
• Conduct inspections and audits of public works activities.
• Deliver instruction and training for special processes and procedures.
• Communicate with company, project management, designers, and client representatives.
• Train, schedule, and supervise subordinate public works employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma / GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five to eight years of related experience in public works or construction.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at an intermediate level.
• Physical ability to perform job functions safely.
