About the role
The Nakuru County Public Service Board is seeking a reliable Driver III to operate official vehicles, transport staff and documents safely, and ensure vehicle readiness at all times.
Key responsibilities
- Drive official vehicles and transport staff, passengers and documents in a safe and timely manner.
- Carry out routine vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness, monitor fuel consumption and keep accurate movement and maintenance records.
- Report mechanical faults promptly and ensure compliance with traffic laws and road‑safety regulations.
- Perform practical and suitability tests for driver grade III as required.
Required profile
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D or equivalent.
- Valid driving licence for the required vehicle class, free from endorsements.
- Certificate of Good Conduct issued by the Kenya Police.
- First‑Aid Certificate (minimum one‑day course) from St. John Ambulance, KIBHT or another recognised institution.
- At least two (2) years of relevant driving experience.
- Successful completion of the Practical Test for Drivers and the Suitability Test for Driver Grade III.
