Driver On Call (Personal Driver)

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a part-time on-call personal driver based on Kangundo Road. The driver transports the employer to designated destinations safely, responsibly and on time, and must stay available at least once a week, including occasional evening or night assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Transport the employer safely, responsibly and on time to designated destinations.
• Carry out routine vehicle checks: fuel level, oil, coolant, tyres, brakes and lights, and report mechanical issues promptly.
• Keep the vehicle clean and presentable.
• Follow all traffic rules and practice defensive driving.
• Plan routes taking traffic conditions, road closures and travel schedules into account.
• Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel usage and maintenance needs.
• Respond calmly to breakdowns and road emergencies.
• Maintain strict confidentiality about the employer's personal affairs and movements.

Required profile

• Valid Kenyan driving licence appropriate for the vehicle.
• At least 5 years of proven driving experience with a strong safety record.
• Good knowledge of Nairobi and surrounding areas, including Kangundo Road and alternative routes.
• Good eyesight and ability to drive safely at night.
• Integrity, discretion, confidentiality and professionalism.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Excellent knowledge of traffic rules and defensive driving.
• Punctuality, dependability, organisation and calmness under pressure.
